Ambassador Makarevic: Sarajevo-Oslo Line remains operational during Summer

After the announcement that the direct season airline between Sarajevo and Oslo that operates during summer will be canceled, the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Oslo contacted the Norwegian company management, which ultimately decided that this line should remain operational during the summer months, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Kingdom of Norway Nedim Makarevic said.

The Ambassador points out on the importance of this line, but adds that there is a real danger that the Norwegian carrier completely abolish the direct line from Oslo to Sarajevo, which would affect citizens of BiH living in this Scandinavian country, but would also hamper economic and other ties between the two countries.

“Norwegian has a very positive attitude towards establishing a direct link throughout the year, but the problem is, as they say, the insufficient number of passengers outside the summer season,” Makarevic told Federal News Agency.

Currently, Norwegian maintains a regular airline between Sarajevo and Stockholm.
