Fahrudin SolakAfter the fire that caught the region of Trebinje in the previous days in whose extinguishing, members of the Armed Forces of B&H had to intervene as well. Members of the Civil Protection, who have a very important role when it comes to the fire protection, are on the full alert.

As Fahrudin Solak, director of the Federal Civil Protections, said, teams are always on the site and in the contact with forest sites.

“All of them got recommendations after which they should behave in the further period, given that we got an information from the Federal Hydrometeorogical institute that the long, hot and dry summer is in front of us and therefore the risk of possible fires is increased“, said Solak.

He emphasized that local fires that were brought under the control were recorder until now. He hopes that there will not be new ones, but if they occur, teams are ready for extinguishing.

“The most critical areas are in Herzegovina where temperatures are much higher, but we are ready for all challenges“, emphasized Solak.
