Reactions to the ‘All-Serbian Assembly’ are pouring in. In the Federation, the unanimous assessment of the declaration – confirms the continuation of the Great Serbian project, continuing along the path of Slobodan Milošević’s policy with the support of Russia. That’s why the warnings are followed by calls for a reaction from the PIK, because a belated reaction once, in the 1990s, left permanent consequences that must not be repeated. On the other hand, there are also reactions from the opposition from the RS, accusing Milorad Dodik of treason.
The All-Serbian Parliament – a day later. Folklore fell silent, the declaration remained. In 49 points, directly or between the lines, we read the idea of the unity of Serbia and the RS, which arose from earlier plans to create one state. Step by step through institutions, economy and education. The reactions in the Federation of BiH are unique in terms of the qualifications of the parliament, the declaration and the messages sent. The conclusions confirm Dodik’s real intention to dismantle the Dayton Agreement, while an echo of Milošević’s policy is coming from Belgrade.
“Such a meeting, in fact, represents the awakening of Slobodan Milošević’s project and the continuation of a hegemonic policy of Serbia towards its neighbors. Such a policy threatens peace, stability and makes impossible any regional cooperation between independent and sovereign states on the basis of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of each state,” NiP party said.
“The All-Serbian Parliament is a continuation of the Greater Serbian project, an attempt to achieve domination over other nations and an attack on the sovereignty of states that suffered armed aggression by the Milošević regime. The adopted declaration is a direct attack on Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Dayton Peace Agreement, and thus on stability and peace,” SDA party warns.
“Aleksandar Vučić no longer hides that he is leading a policy of national homogenization of Serbs with the goal of all Serbs living in one state.
“Vučić finally revealed the cards and admitted that he only continued where Milosevic left off with his Great Serbian policy, which excludes others and which produced suffering, blood, victims, genocide,” said NES president Nermin Ogrešević.
Reactions are coming in the RS as well. Moving the Day of the RS from January 9 to February 15, under the pretext of celebrating Serbian unity on the Day of Serbian Statehood, is called by the opposition from the RS as Dodik’s betrayal of the national interests of the RS. By changing the date of the RS Day, in fact, in the shadow of the announcement of disunification, Dodik would implement the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has declared January 9 unconstitutional several times.
“It turned out again that nothing is sacred to that man. The longer he rules, the smaller the Republika Srpska is. He surrenders our symbols, there are fewer and fewer of us as a people here, he destroys every symbol we have a right to and everything we fought for,” said PDP President Branislav Borenović.
“While he was the ‘greatest Serb’, he simultaneously implemented the Arbitration Decision for Brčko, formed the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, as well as SIPA and dozens of agencies at the BiH level. He accepted the banning of the hymn “God’s Justice” by saying that “it is not fair because the decision was made on Saint Sava”. He erased all the features under which the Republika Srpska was created and which are part of the identity of the Serbian people,” said SDS president Milan Miličević.
“How much of a liar Dodik is, is shown by the fact that he is allegedly advocating for peaceful disunification, and on the other hand, de facto, he is implementing the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the day of RS. If it is dissociating, why the cancellation on January 9? If it’s also from Dodik, it’s too much,” believes the president of the People’s Front, Jelena Trivić.
And then the same content in a new interpretation by Milorad Dodik. All agreements, he says, contribute to the permanent stability of the RS. They offer Bosniaks peace and freedom, but without domination. With the indication that RS, as a contracting party to the Dayton Agreement, is free to withdraw from the contractual relationship. Therefore, it is clear that the Declaration, presented as a guideline for the future, unequivocally points to a higher goal and major consequences exclusively for Bosnia and Herzegovina, from the first to the last point, Federalna writes.
