“11 in Half” in Honor of Edin Dzeko: Instead of the traditional Ten, Eleven Cevapi will be served Today

The Association of Sarajevo Kebabs has decided to mark the farewell of Edin Džeko from the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a special way, and tomorrow, on the day of the match against Sweden, the number of eleven will be served in the kebab shops instead of the ten.

On the day of his farewell, on October 2, instead of the traditional ten in half a flatbread, on that day guests will be served eleven in half a flatbread – in honor of the number 11 that Edin wore on his back for years while proudly wearing the jersey of our national team.

“Because Edin was not only number 11. He was a man with whom we celebrated, mourned, believed and were proud. His goals, matches, victories, but also the way he represented Bosnia and Herzegovina, left a mark that will be difficult to repeat. That is why we wanted to make something that is ours, Sarajevo and simple. Something that belongs to a city where kebab is eaten with special love and where great people are always talked about with half a flatbread, an onion and a glass of conversation,” they said from the Association.

They emphasized that the “Number 11 in half a somun” would be a small token of gratitude for all the years Edin has given us, for every goal that brought us to our feet, and for every moment that made us proud to see him wearing the Bosnia and Herzegovina jersey.

“Edin, thank you for everything you have done for our national team and for Bosnia and Herzegovina,” they said in announcing this initiative.
