“We are making progress on the European path, we are making progress towards activation of MAP, and economic indicators in BiH are not bad, especially when it comes to the Federation of BiH (FBiH). The FBiH is most probably the best part of the Eastern Balkans region considering the economic indicators, but there will be certain slow downs due to the issues with excises and reforms,” said Izetbegovic.
On the question when the citizens will feel the progress that he is talking about, Izetbegovic stated that 1,200 people on average are employed in BiH every month, but he also added that this is not enough.
“Every month, 1,200 of them feel the progress, because that many people on average are employed in BiH every month. And when you employ 1200 people out of 250,000, it is really invisible,” said Izetbegovic.
According to him, people live better in BiH now and the progress can be felt, which nobody can argue.
“Hundred times 1,200 is 120,000. I promised 100,000 new workplaces, and some people thought that was funny. Today, when I fulfilled almost half of that promise, they say that it is not enough. And that is true because when you employ one fifth of that army of the unemployed people in two years, there are four fifths left still unemployed,” said the member of the Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegovic.
