Federal Police arrested Mayor of Velika Kladusa Fikret Abdic

Members of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) arrested the mayor of Velika Kladusa, Fikret Abdic, was confirmed for Klix.ba from the Una Sana Canton Prosecutor’s Office, Klix.ba news portal reports.

Prior to the arrest, a major search of the municipal building was carried out this morning. Abdic was arrested in an action codenamed “Network”, which is directed against several employees of the Municipality on suspicion of abuse of office. Unofficially, Mayor Fikret Abdic is also under investigation.

Earlier, the USC Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to Klix.ba that there was a suspicion of abuse of office and violation of equality in performing economic activities.

Apart from the municipal building, the action was carried out at several other locations in Velika Kladuša. The municipal building was completely blocked.

As Klix.ba finds out, the action is aimed at some of Abdić’s associates. Also, this morning, inspectors searched the “Agrokomerc” Association, from where they seized certain documents.
