In memory of eight killed residents of Sarajevo, the Minister of Veterans Affairs of the Canton Sarajevo, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, laid flowers at the site of the massacre, which took place 26 years ago on the corner of Gimnazijska Street and Obala Kulina Bana.
That day, ten more fellow citizens were wounded in the same attack.
On that tragic day, from the shrapnel mortar shells that were fired from the direction of Vrace, following citizens were killed: Vildana Avdic, Dina Comor, Rusmir Copelj, Azra Hanic, Lejla Jahic, Razija Jahic, Amir Krivic and Dino Sipilovic.
According to the president of Association of parents of children killed during Sarajevo under siege 1992-1995, Fikret Grabovica, children of Sarajevo were also killed in the massacre.
