The lowest temperature, – 27 °C was measured on January 8, 2017, in Sokolac, while the temperature in Sarajevo reached – 22.2 °C, which was the lowest temperature measured in our capital city in the last few decades.
According to the latest measurements of the Federal Hydro Meteorological Institute (FHMZ) of BiH, today, the temperature in the capital of BiH was 12 °C, while morning temperature at 7 AM was 11 °C. The highest temperature at 11 AM was measured in Gradacac, and it amounted to 16 °C.
According to forecasts, BiH will be under the effect of the warm air mass from North Africa by the end of the week, which will bring mostly cloudy and unusually warm weather.
Maximum daily temperatures in Bosnia will be between 9 °C and 14 °C, and between 12 °C and 16 °C in Herzegovina.
According to synoptic maps, the air temperature will be decreased during the weekend. Frost is also possible in the morning hours in Bosnia.
In the period from January 15 to 22, the unstable weather with rain is forecasted for most of our country. Snow and sleet are possible in the central and western parts of the country, as well as in the mountains. The air temperatures will be above the average.
