The Minister of Energy and Mining of the Republika Srpska (RS), Petar Djokic, and the director of the Etmax company, Sinisa Maksimovic, signed two days ago in Banja Luka the contracts on the granting of concessions for the construction and use of seven large solar power plants in the municipality of Nevesinje.
Concessions were granted for a period of 50 years for the solar power plants “Nevesinje 1”, “Nevesinje 2”, “Nevesinje 3”, “Nevesinje 4”, “Nevesinje 5”, “Nevesinje 6” and “Nevesinje 7”, estimated installed power from 50 to 200 megawatts.
The total installed power of all seven solar power plants is about 500 megawatts, and as mentioned before, the project is worth 880 million BAM.
Before signing the concession contract, the concessionaire paid a one-time fee in the amount of seven million BAM to the budget of RS, the relevant ministry said.
In accordance with the contract, after the construction of the solar power plant, the concessionaire will pay a concession fee in the amount of 0.0055 BAM per kilowatt hour to the budget of the RS, of which 95 percent will be directed to the budget of the municipality of Nevesinje.
It should be recalled that in February of this year, the Government of RS awarded the Etmax company a concession for the construction and use of the Nevesinje solar park, which is currently one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
Earlier it was announced that the Etmax company plans to establish a plant in Nevesinje in 2023 for the production of part of the equipment for power plants that will produce components for the construction of the solar park and that 100 new jobs will be created in this way, Biznis Info reports.
