By peacefully gathering near the Sarajevo City Hall, a group of citizens supported the Palestinian people and remembered the genocide in Srebrenica.
They say that the reason for another gathering is the deterioration of the situation in Palestine, but also the recent passing of the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica.
As part of today’s gathering, a panel discussion was held with the aim of connecting and sharing the experiences of people from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Palestine.
Historian Nihad Kreševljaković said at the beginning that during the aggression, Bosnia and Herzegovina felt a part of what has been happening in Palestine for over 75 years.
“We know the pain of injustice, spoken lies, silence and hypocrisy of the world, and parting with loved ones. We know when every minute lasts like a year,” said Kreševljaković.
He pointed out that the inhabitants of Sarajevo fought to preserve humanity and normality during the siege.
“What we are witnessing while watching the footage from Gaza is the incredible pride and willingness of man not to give up his commitment to humanity and justice even in the face of the threat of extermination,” emphasized Kreševljaković.
In addition to the discussion, a humanitarian bazaar was held for the people of Palestine, Fena writes.
