At the train station in Sarajevo, a police officer of the Ministry of Interior (MUP) of Sarajevo Canton committed suicide.
The KS MUP did not provide any more details and asked for understanding and professional reporting.
“We ask that you report on cases of suicide with due care and that in your texts you mention numbers for help to people who are thinking about suicide”, they stated in the appeal addressed to the media.
Police teams are on the ground and an investigation is currently underway.
If we notice suicidal intentions in someone, it is necessary and human to react. Conversation and support can be the trigger for a person to seek help and not become just another in a series of black chronicle news.
