The President of the Economic and Social Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), Safudin Cengic, stated yesterday in Sarajevo that a significant increase in the minimum wage cannot be expected in 2026.
He added that at the ESV session, which will be held on November 26th, among other things, ways to increase the minimum wage for the next year in the FBiH will be discussed.
Cengic emphasized that without an increase in production, exports, and overall business activity, we cannot expect the increase in the minimum wage to be significant for employees.
“We must have a quality product and export it in order to create new value so that, based on that, we can pay employees,” said Cengic.
