Egypt’s National Electoral Commission has announced that incumbent President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has been re-elected as president.
Hazim Bedevi, the president of the State Election Commission, said that the current president Sisi received a new mandate that will last until 2030.
Noting that Sisi received 89.6 percent of the vote, Bedevi stated that 44.7 million voters voted in the presidential election, with a turnout of 66.8 percent.
