About 600,000 people in the south of Russia were left without electricity due to an abnormal heat wave, the Russian Ministry of Energy announced.
“The abnormally high temperature is the reason for the large disruption of electricity delivery in a number of Russian regions. According to operational data, more than 324,000 people are without electricity in the Rostov region, 181,000 in the Krasnodar region and the Republic of Adygea, and 94,300 in the Astrakhan region,” the Ministry announced on “Telegram”.
The announcement adds that emergency repairs to the electrical network are underway, Srna writes.
