
This year, 37 nominees from the education field of work across the Federation will receive prizes and cash awards for the great contributions in pre-school, primary and secondary education.
UNESCO in 1994 proclaimed the fifth October as a World Teachers’ Day relating to the same date in 1966 when was signed the Recommendation on the Status of Teachers. This day is celebrated in more than one hundred countries worldwide. According to UNESCO, this day is an opportunity to show that the work of teachers is recognized as one of the most important for the overall development of society.
The motto of this year’s World Day of Teachers is “Teachers – leaders of quality education“.
