The acting President of Republika Srpska (RS), Ana Trisic-Babic, and the President of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, met in Israel with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after which she emphasized that they are strengthening ties with the White House “through Israeli friends.”

Dodik and Trisic-Babic first gave statements to journalists about the meeting with Netanyahu, and later also published photographs from the meeting.

Dodik spoke about how he initiated assistance from Netanyahu in returning all Dayton competencies to the entity, including the army, courts, finances, and the intelligence service.

Trisic-Babic described the meeting with Netanyahu as “extraordinary.”

“Prime Minister Netanyahu, which surprised me and I was privileged to witness, in the situation they are currently in in Israel, not only found time to meet with us, but it was a genuine bilateral meeting,” she said, adding:

“I can say this very responsibly because I have been in these waters for a long time, with all the characteristics of a bilateral meeting, with a great understanding of the situation in RS, in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), and in the region, and with very concrete questions to which we had answers.”

The acting president of the entity said that the meeting was proof of the good positioning of RS in the world and that everyone knows about RS.

“We are continuing the fight for RS, for the positioning of RS; through our Israeli friends, we are strengthening our contact and cooperation with the United States (U.S.) administration, the White House, and I think that citizens of RS will have good news in the next month,” she said.
