Actors of Shakespeare’s Globe Theater Presented

actorsActors of Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, which will play “Hamlet” as part of the tour Globe to Globe on 15 June, are presented last night in Sarajevo.

Shakespeare’s Globe Theater with this project will visit almost all the countries, including B&H as part of the two year world tour on the occasion of 450 anniversary of William Shakespeare’s birth.

Actors will perform the play two times on 15 June due to the great interest of the audience.

The program manager of British Council Amila Lagumdžija said that there is a great interest for this play and that is a great honor to host such actors.

“Their mission is get the world closer to Shakespeare and this is in accordance with goals of British Council”, she said.

The actor Naeem Hayat, who plays the Hamlet role said that 12 actors will play 24 roles, so one actor play 3-4 roles.

“We never play the same show in any country and that is what we will do in Sarajevo as well”, he said.

The actress Amanda Wilkin plays three roles in the show and says that sometimes is confusing to play few roles in one show.

English “Hamlet” reveals a modern, fresh version of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, in which intertwined politics, violence and philosophical reflection with a bit of humor.

A few days ago during the tour, the entire ensemble is photographed with descriptions which provide support to population affected by floods across the region and the profits from the ticket sales will go for charity.
