The Director of the Border Police (GP) of BiH, Mirko Kuprešaković, received on Friday the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the United States of America in BiH, Deborah Mennuti, and with the measures taken to prevent all types of cross-border crime.
They also discussed the specialist training of police officers of the GPBiH, which are being implemented in cooperation with the US Government.
Kuprešaković also emphasized that the control and supervision of the state border, and border security in general, the training of professional staff, the use of available specialist equipment are one of the permanent tasks of the BiH Border Police, and that cooperation and information exchange are imperative for creating a safe environment.
On this occasion, Kuprešaković thanked the US Government for the long-term cooperation and support it has provided to the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina for more than two decades and, as a sign of gratitude, presented Mennuti with a Golden Plaque.
The meeting ended with the conclusion that work will be done on the additional improvement of cooperation between the GPBiH and the US Embassy in BiH, and further modalities of cooperation in the coming period were also agreed upon.
