Aleksandra Samardzic represents BiH at the World Championship in Baku

Aleksandra Samardžić, a member of the Borsa Judo Club, will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the senior World Judo Championship, which is being held this week in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

In the category up to 70 kilograms, Samardžić will compete in the first round with Denmark’s Lærke Olsen, whom she defeated at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. This success gives additional weight to their new meeting, in which the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team will seek to advance to the next round.

At the World Championship in Baku, 622 fighters from 93 countries will compete, and in addition to Samardžić, the colors of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be defended by Mustafa Hebib and Toni Miletić from Sarajevo clubs.

For the Mostar Borsa, the performance of its member at the world fair is a great recognition and the continuation of the club’s presence on the international scene. Borsa once again connects Mostar with the highest level of judo, the Mostar club announced.
