All Public Hospitals in Northern Gaza Out of Service Amid Ongoing Crisis

The Gaza Ministry of Health announced that all public hospitals in the north of this Palestinian territory are out of order, while Israeli forces continue with intensive military operations in the area.

The situation is particularly difficult in the Indonesian hospital, which is under siege by the Israeli army. The Ministry stated that due to increased military pressure and heavy artillery fire, the arrival of patients, medical personnel, and the delivery of medical supplies was prevented, which effectively put this hospital out of business.

“The occupying forces intensified the siege of the Indonesian Hospital and its surroundings, preventing access to patients, staff, and supplies, effectively putting the hospital out of action,” the ministry said in a statement.

In the same statement, it was confirmed that no public hospital in northern Gaza is functioning anymore.

The director of the Indonesian hospital, Marwan al-Sultan, stated that anyone who tries to move is trampled under fire and that the hospital is no longer able to provide any medical services.

This is another in a series of alarming indicators of the collapse of the health system in the Gaza Strip, where hospitals run out of fuel, water, medicine, and safe access, while the number of casualties and wounded continues to rise due to intense Israeli military operations.
