August in Sarajevo has already become synonymous with the moment when the city ceases to be just a city and turns into a collective dream; the last night of the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) is an evening when the streets close for traffic and open for people.
Tens of thousands gathered on Tito Street, in front of the Eternal Flame, danced late into the night in a moment that has already been recognized as one of the most important dates in the city’s calendar.
Eternal Flame is not just an event. It is the night when Sarajevo becomes the epicenter of electronic music in the region and the host of the largest street dance in this part of Europe.
After two unforgettable rooftop dances on August 15th and 16th, Eternal Flame is the peak and the final event of this August under the direction of Garden of Dreams. The dance on Tito Street will be an unforgettable moment for all dreamers, and everyone is invited to be part of this historic night.
This event is realized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Canton Sarajevo (CS) and the Tourist Board of CS.
After Artbat and Adriatique stood on the balcony above the Eternal Flame in previous years, 2025 brings a new precedent. For the first time, a woman will stand there, Layla Benitez. An icon of the New York scene, recognized for sets that combine power and sophistication, Layla brings a sound that transcends borders. Her presence in Sarajevo is not only a musical moment, it is a message that this scene belongs to everyone, that diversity and energy create new strength.
Layla comes to close the season of dreams in Sarajevo. Her music and presence will be a symbol of the end of summer and a moment that will shape the memories of thousands of people.
Along with Layla, at the Eternal Flame night, After Affair will perform, the Sarajevo duo whose sound has been shaping the spirit of the city for years. They will be joined by Doel and Lubnya, young artists whose energy shows why Garden of Dreams always gives space to new names. The local scene receives equal attention as the global one, and it is precisely this combination that makes Eternal Flame different from all other events.
The image of tens of thousands of people gathered in front of the Eternal Flame is not just a dance atmosphere. It is a symbol of resistance, hope, and togetherness. When the flame merges with the light of production and the rhythm of music, Sarajevo gets a scene that has circled the world. Photos and videos of previous years have become a global symbol of electronic culture, but the energy of that moment remains unrepeatable and irreplaceable.
Whoever once stands on that ground, surrounded by a crowd breathing as one, understands why this night is talked about for months afterwards.
What sets Eternal Flame apart from all other events is its accessibility. Entry is free and open to all, without barriers, without borders. It is a gift of the Garden of Dreams collective and partners to Sarajevo, a moment in which everyone has the right to be part of the same energy and the same emotion.
This night in front of the Eternal Flame is more than an event. It is our way of thanking Sarajevo, of giving the city what it deserves: freedom, music, and a shared dream that lasts until morning, stated the Garden of Dreams collective.
This week, Sarajevo ceased to be just a city. It became the epicenter of culture and music, a place where the local and the global, past and future, reality and dream merge.
