Crnadak thanked Jagland and his associates for their support and the effort they have invested, and pointed out that this is perhaps the most important event for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the post-war period, since the presidency of the Council of Europe is an opportunity for this country to show itself as a credible partner who can keep up with its commitments.
„This chairmanship will bring the entire European perspective and agenda of B&H to all levels of government and to all the people in the RS and FB&H, because some of the planned events are to be organized in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, and Mostar“, said Crnadak to the journalists.
The priorities of the six-month presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina of the Council of Europe have also been discussed at this meeting, including the Convention on prevention of domestic violence and women abuse, as well as questions regarding culture and youth.
Jagland said that the upcoming presidency will be useful for B&H in the sense that it provides an opportunity to work on comprehensive reforms, such as in areas connected to the fight against money laundering, fight against corruption, organized and international criminal, as well as those regarding the Constitution reform.
