Representatives of this consortium came to an agreement a few days ago on business cooperation that, in addition to new types of investments, should provide significant investments in the Zvornik company.
Associate Director for technical-commercial affairs at ‘Alumina’ Miodrag Spasojević said that the concept of business cooperation, for which a consortium of companies from Canada and Austria have expressed interest, fully fits in the developmental tendencies of ‘Alumina’ in terms of future plans and adopting to a new production program, on which experts at the factory in Zvornik are working.
He said that the plan this year is to produce around 60.000 tons of new products with new quality, while in 2015, if the necessary investments are made, ‘Alumina’ should produce around 150.000 tons of highly calcined alumina.
‘Alumina’ management expects that in the next few days that signing of the contract will take place, while the first delivery of these special types of alumina would be next month.
