The Ambassador of Republic of France in B&H Roland Gilles officially announced the decision on twinning cities of Grenoble with Sarajevo and East Sarajevo.
“Is is my great pleasure that I announce today the official fraternization of Grenoble city with the cities of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo. Grenoble is a metropolis, facing new technologies. Grenoble is anaUniversity and Olympic city and it is quite normal that Grenoble and Sarajevo city would become twin cities. I am pleased that Sarajevo and East Sarajevo have accepted the support of Grenoble city”, said Gilles.
The visits of delegations in regard to this decision will be implemented in the near future.
Grenoble city, the center of the department Isere and historical capital city of Dauphine region, was once considered as a capital mountain city. Grenoble is one of the most dynamic cities of France at the economic, industrial and University level.
Grenoble is know as an Olympic country – 1968, when it hosted the Olympic Winter Games.
