The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, at a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marco Di Ruzzo, emphasized that she will work on speeding up the procedures for the implementation of the agreement on the establishment of the Italian Institute for Culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at this meeting they discussed the activities so far in the process of concluding the agreement between the Government of Italy and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the establishment of the aforementioned institute, and Bošnjak emphasized the importance of such an agreement.
The ambassador of the Republic of Italy was accompanied by Riccardo Righelli, head of the Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in BiH for culture and economic issues.
It was established that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Italy have good bilateral relations in all areas. Minister Bošnjak thanked for the support that Italy provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the path of European integration.
The good cooperation in the field of culture was particularly highlighted, and Minister Bošnjak thanked the ambassador for the projects financed by the Republic of Italy.
Ambassador Di Ruzza congratulated the minister for the efforts she made to have the Vjetrenica cave included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, noting that he himself stayed in Ravno and saw for himself the beauty of this natural phenomenon.
One of the topics was the activities in the process of building the Ars Aevi Museum of Contemporary Art in Sarajevo, whose construction should begin soon.
They also discussed the support that the Republic of Italy provides for projects related to the fight against and prevention of cervical and breast cancer. Minister Bošnjak signed the Letter of Support supporting the project document “Program for Cancer Prevention and Treatment in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
Bošnjak emphasized that systematic prevention has an extremely important role in strengthening the country’s efforts to save human lives by reducing the incidence of breast cancer.
