Anel Bećirović, the suspect in the murder of Emira Maslan, was previously convicted of domestic violence against the girl he killed yesterday. This was confirmed for Klix.ba by his lawyer Omar Mehmebašić.
“I defended my client Anel Bećirović for domestic violence, which ended in April, where he was sentenced to three months in prison. The sentence was so large because he had not been convicted before. We have another case for drug possession, more precisely, marijuana was found in his possession.” Mehmedbašić said.
He says that in the case of the verdict, minor bodily injuries were in question against Emira Maslan, whom he killed yesterday, and at that time the prohibition measures were imposed on him. But, says the lawyer, the two reconciled after that, but the drama apparently continued and ended in tragedy.
As for their relationship, lawyer Mehmedbašić says that the client told him that he loved Emira, but that there were misunderstandings and that she objected to him seeing the child.
“All in all, it’s an emotional drama that ended tragically. Today, he will give statements at the Canton Sarajevo Prosecutor’s Office. Last night, a gun was found in the apartment, things in the apartment were scattered, and the door was broken. The child witnessed the act of murder,” Mehmedašić explained.
The murder took place yesterday before 3:00 p.m., in the apartment where the victim lived, on Bosanska Street in Alipašino Polje.
The murderer Anel Bećirović, after the serious crime he committed, fled to his apartment in Hrasno, where he barricaded himself together with their four-year-old son.
The special police surrounded the apartment where he was staying and negotiated with him to surrender and release the child. Around 8:10 p.m., they broke in and rescued the child, Klix.ba reports.
