Anesa Rakic, a symbol of children’s fight against cancer, passed away today at the age of 20 in Sarajevo, confirmed the Heart for Children Cancer Association.
Anesa graced the cover of the Heart Association’s Bulletin for Children with Cancer, as well as the campaign under the slogan “Heroes are among us”.
She has been battling cancer for the past four years, had her arm amputated two years ago, and has been treated in Germany for the past few months. Unfortunately, she lost a long battle.
