Bosnian School novovrijeme.baThe B&H Community in the Federal Republic of Germany is enriched by another supplementary school in mother tongue, which was established on December 5 in the German city of Gaggenau.

A ceremony was held on this occasion, at which a debate on the topic of preservation of mother tongue and identity of the citizens of B&H in the diaspora also took place. The attendees were addressed by the Consul of B&H in Stuttgart Dag Đumrukčić, President of the Association of Supplementary Schools of B&H and the former consul general of B&H Haris Halilović, and imam in the Bosniak jamaat in this city, Ramiz ef. Kazija.

Twenty-three children from Gaggenau and surroundings were enrolled in the school.

“Bosnian language is our language, the language we communicate in and mutually speak in. We shall not let our children be deprived of the greatest wealth – to have knowledge of the mother tongue. If that language is already in their genes, why should we prevent those genes from speaking out loud?” said, among other things, Ramiz ef. Kazija.

Organizers of the gathering are the Islamic Community of Bosniaks, in cooperation with the Association of Supplementary Schools of B&H and the Consulate General of B&H in Stuttgart.
