Another Triumph for Bosnia’s Young Ski Star: Anur Mehic Wins Slalom Title in Italy

The most talented young skier from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Anur Mehić, achieved another great success by winning the slalom race in the Italian Sesto Pusteria this morning.

At only 16 years old, Mehić excels in official U-21 ski competitions and competes against riders much older than himself. Not only that, but he also achieves great victories.

This morning, the young BiH skier celebrated in the Italian National Junior Championship in the slalom held at the popular ski resort in northern Italy.
Mehić was the best in two runs. He finished the first with a time of 46.77, and the second with a time of 47.87.

That was enough for a total time of 1:34.64, which brought him first place by 53 hundredths of a second ahead of the first runner-up, Laurens Kalf from the Netherlands, who, for example, is two years older than our talented junior.

Third place was taken by the Italian Stefano Caldart with a time of 1:35.64, and he is three years older than our skier.

Our young driver achieved another great success just two weeks ago, achieving a double victory in St. Moritz, Switzerland. He celebrated in two slalom races in two days against rivals several years older.
Let us recall that last season, Anur achieved more than ten gold medals at the most important world competitions in the cadet category (U16), thus announcing a successful transition to junior competition, Klix.ba writes.
