BiH submitted an answer to the Food and Veterinary Office of the EU (FVO) in Dublin, that it intends to fulfill the remaining two conditions for the export of milk to countries of the EU, as stated by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic.
Sarovic reminded that two other conditions are related to the establishment of a central responsible body for the control of quality of milk that can be exported from BiH to the EU, and the quality itself of raw milk.
He stated that the answer of BiH to the FVO has been sent on Friday, 10th April, and that he hopes that it will find a positive response in Dublin.
According to his words, in the answer was stated that the central responsible body for the control of quality of milk that can be exported from BiH to the EU, will be the Veterinary Office of BiH.
“It has been, until now as well, responsible and we have agreed on it at all levels, but that was not regulated as it is predicted in the further period, through amendments to three laws – Law on agriculture, Law on food and Law on veterinary“, explained Sarovic and added that that system of the official control will be uniquely solved.
He warns that this system and such control mechanism is valid only for the international trade, i.e. for the export from BiH.
He stated that the certain time will be needed in order to implement through institutions of BiH what has been agreed.
