The armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Kingdom will hold another joint training throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from October 23 to November 26, 2023 at military locations in Rajlovac, Tuzla, Manjaca and Capljina, announced the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This year’s joint training, in addition to training for peace support operations, includes advanced tactical planning and leadership development. This training will allow military personnel from both countries to share experiences and work with each other, developing interoperability and operational compatibility with NATO.

This year, the training includes a team of experts from the United States Army, who will arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina to conduct tactical planning training, developing the military cooperation of all three countries.

This regular joint exercise builds on the long-term defense capability development cooperation between the UK and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will see military personnel and units across the country able to progress through training, mentoring and skills sharing.

Members of the armed forces of all three countries will take advantage of the modernized military training ground at the Combat Training Center of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Manjaca, as well as the urban training ground in Tuzla, the development of which was supported by the United Kingdom.

Conducting training at such training grounds directly supports the ambitions of Bosnia and Herzegovina to contribute to international peace support operations.
