As part of the “Snimak” operation, which SIPA is conducting together with police officers of the Border Police, three police officers of the Border Police, three officers of the Indirect Taxation Administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina were arrested for accepting gifts and other forms of benefit, while four citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina were arrested for giving gifts and other forms of benefit.
As announced by SIPA, the operation is being carried out in the areas of Kakanj, Zenica, Teslić, Prijedor, Novi Grad, Gradiška, Srbac, Prnjavor, Kostajnica and Kozarska Dubica.
Searches of residential, auxiliary buildings and movable property are being carried out in several locations, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offenses of association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses, giving gifts and other forms of benefit and receiving gifts and other forms of benefit prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been committed.
“Upon completion of field activities, persons deprived of their liberty will be taken to official premises for criminal processing and questioning as suspects, and their further status will be decided by the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Activities are carried out pursuant to orders of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska and Zenica-Doboj Canton, as well as the Intelligence and Security Agency,” the statement states.
