
In the first round of the tournament in Miami, Dzumhur as the 94th player of the world defeated Mayer, who is at the 41st place in the ATP rankings.
The match did not start well for Dzumhur, because he lost in the opening game. This game was crucial for Mayer, who kept the advantage and won the first set with the score 6: 4 after 36 minutes.
However, our tennis player came back in the second set and won it after 33 minutes thanks to a break in the sixth game, when he managed to take a lead and get a score 4: 2. All this time, he served well and eventually won the second set with the score 6: 3.
Third, the deciding set, also went to the popular Dzumi. A break decided this time again, which our tennis player earned in the seventh game. It was followed by two good service, which brought him the third set (6 🙂 and victory in this match, which lasted for an hour and 52 minutes.
In the second round, Dzumhur will play against Rafael Nadal, the fifth tennis players of the world.
