At least 160 people are stranded in northeastern Japan after a snowstorm blocked roads leading to a popular hot spring resort, officials said Monday.
The stranded people are staying at two hotels in Fukushima Prefecture, Tokyo-based Kyodo News reported.
No one was trapped under the snow, according to the report.
While authorities cleared landslides from roads in the Tsuchiyu Onsen district, new landslides have blocked roads again.
Many parts of Japan have seen record snowfall since the beginning of this month.
