Today, in National and University Library of BiH (NUBBiH) ceremony of presenting the awards of ”Sarajevo Winter”- ”Srebrena pahulja” (Silver snowflake) was held, reports FENA.
”Srebrena pahulja” is awarded to individuals and institutions for contribution to development of the Festival and for artistic achievements, and director of ”Sarajevo Winter” Ibrahim Spahić presented the awards.
The winners are: Embassy of Japan in BiH, art manager of Ballet of National Theatre Sarajevo Edina Papo, actors Selma Alispahić and Dragan Jovičić for play ”Ay Carmela”, Embassy of Greece, Embassy of Turkey, State Theatre of Istanbul, Sarajevo Philharmonics and Višegrad Group.
Association of Artists of Montenegro, Museum of City of Belgrade and Belgrade International Week of Architecture, Slovene artist Bojan Brecelj, Museum of Travnik, director Selma Spahić for play ”Sumnja” (Doubt), manager of National University Library of BiH Ismet Ovčina and Puppet Studio Sarajevo also received an award.
Ambassador of Japan Hideo Yamazaki said: ”It is a great honour for me to receive this award. I think this is an important and famous festival, and we’ll continue to support it , and for this year’s festival we’ll present some interesting films.”
Actress Selma Alispahić said that play ”Ay Carmela” had its 200th performance since it premiered in 1992.
Representatives of Association of Artists of Montenegro said that they consider ”Srebrna Pahuljica” an important award and believe that the aim of the festival is to stimulate the cooperation among countries.
Long time chronicler of the festival Tomislav Išek decided who’d be the winner.
