She shot, produced and edited a 35-minute documentary about her experiences in her birthplace Srebrenica in the summer of 2014.
Bad Blood documents what her life could’ve been like had she stayed in Srebrenica after the war. While in Srebrenica, she meets 17-year-old Nina and 22-year-old Ismeta. Zukic says she found that younger generations of Serbs and Bosniaks still hang out within the confines of their own ethnic groups.
Bad Blood is her first documentary. It will premiere at 12:35 p.m. on Saturday, February 7th, 2015 at 19 University Place (between 8th Street and University Place) in the East Village. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmaker. The screening is part of the NYU News & Doc Film Festival.
