It has been 25 days since the central arrest warrant was issued for Milorad Dodik, Nenad Stevandić and Radovan Višković. Since then, they have not been arrested. In the meantime, police agencies are practicing and conducting various arrest and interrogation operations. An example from yesterday. Minister of Defense Zukan Helez in his office, at the order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, gave a statement to SIPA inspectors following the report of Mirnes Ajanović. If the Minister of Defense of one country can do it, why not the Banja Luka trio?
SIPA in the office of the State Minister of Defense. But not in the offices of Dodik, Stevandić and Višković. The Minister says – he respects the work of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and SIPA.
“The state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is something that must bring together the unity of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian forces in joint action. Because of my work, because of the strengthening of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, because I am not afraid to tell the truth, to respond to those who would like to divide Bosnia and Herzegovina, I am often a target of those forces who would like to draw borders across my homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Minister Helez.
Those who would like to draw borders freely cross them every now and then, because the police agencies have been doing nothing in the case of the Banja Luka trio for 25 days.
“I hope that the State Investigation and Protection Agency, in cooperation with other agencies, will ultimately take measures to deprive these persons of their freedom. Because if all this drags on indefinitely, citizens will lose trust in the institutions of the system and that is not good. In that sense, I had a conversation with some of the leaders and I offered them help in the form of advice, if they need anything,” says Zlatko Miletić, delegate to the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Providing protection to all citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina and improving their sense of security and trust in the security system is basically SIPA’s mission. In the Dodik case – as things stand now – this is not the case. Otherwise, the procedure is such that the judicial police should carry out their arrest with the assistance of SIPA. Which action was assessed as high-risk.
“The laws recognize the phases, what should happen in which situation. Of course, it is possible for someone to be injured. For this reason, police officers have a privileged working life and retire early because it is a difficult and dangerous job,” said Kemal Ademović, president of the Joint Commission for Defense and Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to unofficial information, there was an attempt to bring one of the suspects to justice, however, it failed. In the meantime – it seems that the SNSD leader is wasting no time.
“Today I hear that there are some attempts to get Dodik and SNSD back into negotiations. In my opinion, it is unacceptable to discuss any topic with the destroyers of the constitutional order in any way,” Miletić emphasized.
Finally, it should be recalled that there are 16 police agencies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina and none of them has yet arrested the leaders of the RS. By the way, SIPA is making arrests in the RS. It is still doing so today. It will certainly do so tomorrow, but who? And when the creators of the coup will get their turn and until when they will be free to walk around, no one knows.
