Banja Luka was yesterday evening the most polluted city in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to measurements at 5:00 p.m., the air quality index in the area of that city was 279 and was very unhealthy for the population.
In such conditions, significant intensification of symptoms and intensity of the disease is possible for people with respiratory diseases such as asthma.
The probability of negative consequences for the respiratory organs of the entire population has increased.
Patients with lung and heart diseases, pregnant women, children and the elderly must avoid any activities while outside. And everyone else should avoid prolonged or greater stress while outside.
According to measurements in other BiH cities, the air is unhealthy for the population and in the area of Tuzla, where the air quality index was 187, Srebrenica – the air quality index was 175, Sarajevo and Jajce, where the air quality index was 164 and 160, and Zenica, where the air quality index was 152 at 5:00 p.m.
