A member of the House of Lords of Great Britain and a former advisor to the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of that country, Arminka Helic, warned that the document on the “peaceful” dissolution of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), published by the political leadership of the BiH entity of the Republika Srpska (RS) “threatens peace” and causes harm to all citizens of BiH, especially citizens of that entity.
“The current political leadership of the smaller Bosnian entity RS, with the support of Serbia, published yesterday a document calling for an agreement on the supposedly ‘peaceful’ dissolution of the state of BiH. This is a continuation of the evil plan from the 1990s to create a “Greater Serbia”, which is now called “Serbian World”, warned Baroness Helic.
She called this initiative “backward”, “dangerous” and “provocative”, stressing that this negatively affects all citizens of the country and represents a threat to peace.
“The proposal particularly harms the citizens of the RS entity, where unfortunately they live in poverty and corruption and where the captivity of the state has reached unprecedented levels,” she pointed out.
“Instead, BiH, where the genocide was committed in 1995, should ask its Truth and Reconciliation Commission to address the crimes of the past, promote reconciliation and create a prosperous state for all its citizens, regardless of their ethnicity or religion belonging,” she added.
She then underlined that every citizen of BiH has the right to:
Peace and prosperity, Justice and the rule of law, Economic opportunities, Education, Healthcare, Social protection, Modern infrastructure, Political participation, Environmental sustainability, Cultural diversity and social integration.
“Every citizen has the right to demand to live freely, and not to be manipulated and held hostage to dreams built on crimes,” she stated at the end.
To recall, the heads of the caucuses of the National Assembly of the RS (NARS) received a document on “peaceful disassociation” that SNSD leader and RS President Milorad Dodik had been announcing for a long time, albeit with a different name.
The official name of the document is “Information on the need to initiate the procedure for regulating relations between the RS and the Federation of BiH (FBiH) in accordance with the Dayton Agreement and international acts”, N1 writes.
