Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović spoke with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to BiH Syed Qaiser Abbas Shah about the current security situation in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the strengthening of relations between the two countries. The interlocutors emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan share understanding, solidarity and support, especially in difficult historical moments.
Bećirović said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is committed to resolving all disputes peacefully, respecting the principles of international law, as well as to constructive dialogue in seeking acceptable solutions to open issues. He emphasized that the foreign policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina is, among other things, based on respecting and abiding by the principles of constitutionality, sovereignty, territorial integrity and the rule of law, in all aspects of relations with international partners.
He expressed his condolences on the attacks in the provinces of Punjab and Azad Jammu Kashmir, in which several people were killed and injured. He emphasized that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina express solidarity with the friendly people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The Member of the Presidency of BiH said that he greatly appreciates the support provided by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan during the adoption of the Resolution on the International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the Srebrenica Genocide in 1995, as well as the expression of the principled positions of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at the sessions of the United Nations Security Council.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Syed Qaiser Abbas Shah thanked the Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović for the support and solidarity, and expressed his readiness to strengthen the overall relations between the two friendly countries, the Office of the Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović announced.
