Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, spoke with Ukraine’s non-resident Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vasyl Kyrylych, about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine, and strongly condemned the Russian aggression against Ukraine and offered support to the people of the sovereign and of independent Ukraine and to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Ambassador Kyrylych thanked Bećirović for his continuous support to Ukraine and emphasized that Ukrainians are encouraged by his open support for the struggle for the freedom of the Ukrainian people.
Bećirović said that Bosnia and Herzegovina supported the Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, which condemns Russian aggression against Ukraine and joined the Declaration of the High Representative of the EU on harmonization regarding restrictive measures regarding actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, said Bećirović, joined the introduction of sanctions against Russia and supported 22 decisions of the EU Council, announced the Cabinet of the BiH Presidency member, Denis Bećirović.
During the conversation, Bećirović strongly condemned the Russian aggression against Ukraine and supported the people of sovereign and independent Ukraine and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
He emphasized that, together with the free and democratic world, Bosnia and Herzegovina must stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine in the fight for freedom. He said that he will continue to insist on respecting the basic principles of international law and the UN Charter.
Bećirović reminded the Ambassador of Ukraine, Vasyl Kyrylych, that several times in public statements he strongly condemned the fact that the president of the BiH entity RS Milorad Dodik awarded the president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
