Becirovic to Dodik: Don’t play with Fire, BiH will survive

A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, today told the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, “not to play with fire and that his separatist moves could jeopardize the peace process.”

After the meeting between Milorad Dodik and the representatives of the parliamentary parties from Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, it was said that the issue of state property has already been resolved and that the property that is on the entity’s territory belongs to them.

Dodik said that he does not accept the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that at the end of next week he will schedule a session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska and make a decision on the withdrawal of judges from the Republic of Srpska from the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Part of the opposition, including the PDP, did not attend the meeting.

“When it comes to Milorad Dodik’s latest irresponsible moves, I publicly tell him not to play with fire. His separatist moves can endanger the peace process. For a long time, he has become, above all, a security problem, not a political one. And people must understand that in the West,” said Bećirović.

He also said that “Milorad Dodik does not have ten percent of the resources that war criminals Radovan Karadžić and Ratko Mladić had.”

“Ah, they were also defeated and Bosnia and Herzegovina survived. Bosnia and Herzegovina will survive, the vast majority of people are ready to defend this country. We have many more friends outside the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Once again, I tell him not to play with the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is stronger than any evildoer,” Bećirović said.

A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina told Dodik to “stick to the letter of Dayton”.

“The letter of Dayton said that the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will adjudicate and decide on controversial constitutional issues and make final and binding decisions. That is written in the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. And, not that Milorad Dodik will be above the Constitutional Court and above the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of this country. He must know that his legal violence is enough and that it must stop,” Bećirović said.
