SDP member of the Parliament, Denis Becirovic told SDA President Bakir Izetbegovic that it would be a big mistake to agree to talk with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic about the relationship between Bosniaks and Serbs.
He assessed that Izetbegovic, who is the chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), would degrade the institutions of BiH.
“We have a state and we must not, consciously or unconscionably, make it cheaper by dubious, partial, and moves that are beyond the institutions,” he pointed out.
Becirovic, who is a delegate in the House of Peoples of the state parliament, emphasized that relations between BiH and Serbia should be regulated as it is appropriate for two states, and not, as he stated, on tribal-ethnic grounds. According to him, “arranging Serb-Bosniak relations” is deceit to BiH as a state.
He stated that Izetbegovic, unfortunately, agreed to talk to Vucicand that it was a big mistake.
“It is a big mistake. The constitutional and legal system of thestate of BiH does not know the function of ‘leader of Bosniaks’, just as it does not know the functions of ‘leader of Serbs’ and ‘leader of Croats’. The equivalent of the function of the President of Serbia is the Presidency of BiH. So, Zeljko Komsic and Sefik Dzaferovic should talk to Vucic, not you,” Becirovic stated and reiterated that this conversation would be the degradation of state institutions with” unforeseeable consequences”.
To recall, Izetbegovic, as a guest on Federal Television (FTV), yesterday stated that he was ready to talk to the President of Serbia and that “the crown will not fall from his head” if he goes to Belgrade.
