The member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, spoke with the supervisor for the Brčko District of BiH, Louis Crishock, about the anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional actions of the Government of the RS entity in the territory of the Brčko District of BiH.
Bećirović reminded that, according to the final arbitration decision, Brčko District of BiH is under the sovereignty of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He added that, by passing the Final Arbitration Decision, the entities transferred all their powers, related to management, to the multi-ethnic democratic Government of the Brčko District of BiH, and that the entities have no powers within the District.
At the meeting, Bećirović asked the supervisor for the Brčko District of BiH to: suspend the application of the Decision of the Government of the RS entity on the territory of the Brčko District of BiH, as well as all acts and actions related to the implementation of that decision, adopted by the government institutions of the Brčko District of BiH; prohibit the issuance of any permits or acts related to the use of real estate sold to the Government of the RS entity, and to annul all acts and actions of the Government, the Assembly and other institutions of the Brčko District of BiH, in connection with the disposal of the District’s property contrary to the Final Arbitration Decision and the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH.
In the end, Bećirović said that it is high time that the Government of the RS entity stops trying to destabilize the Brčko District of BiH and undermine the policies agreed upon within the Brčko District of BiH. The district must remain a unit of local self-government where legal regulations and common interests of all citizens and nations are respected, announced the Cabinet of BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović.
