‘’The theme of this year’s festival is the cooperation of beekeepers and fruit growers. Honey as a gift is also one of the themes on which we have been focusing for several years. Based on the research that was carried out with the help of USAID/Sida FARMA project in 2012, we have come to the result that around 97 percent of respondents believe that honey is a good gift. Honey as a gift was mostly received by women’’, said in front of the Directorate of the Bee Fest Samir Katica Arnautović.
Given the upcoming winter holidays, organizers of the festival call on citizens to buy honey and provide their loves ones with healthy and quality products.
Visitors will have the opportunity to taste different types of honey and learn something more about its uses.
Special attention will be given to honey from buckwheat, chestnut, heather and mandarin, as well as the newest types of honey on the B&H market.
For five days of the fair the organizers have prepared other programs, such as the days of organic honey or the initiative for honey to be brought into the diets for preschoolers and older students.
There is also a traditionally organized competition for school children for literary and art works on the theme ‘honey is cool’, announced the organizers.
