The Belgian Air Force yesterday dropped the first in a planned series of humanitarian aid deliveries over Gaza, in cooperation with Jordan, the Belgian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday.
To help the Palestinians in Gaza, Belgium decided to join the Jordanian air operation because it did not receive permission from Israel for the entry of trucks with humanitarian aid or for overflight through the airspace over Gaza, Belgian Minister of Defense Ludivine Dedonder and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prevot announced on July 30th.
Planes from Jordan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Egypt, Germany, and France dropped around 90 shipments of humanitarian aid into the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip two days ago.
