At a recent extraordinary session, the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to end the participation of the BiH Armed Forces contingent in the “Resolute Support” (RSM) peace support mission in Afghanistan.
This decision, signed by chairman Milorad Dodik, ends the participation of the entire contingent of the Armed Forces BiH no later than September 11, 2021.
“The order to withdraw from the RSM mission for each part of the contingent of the Armed Forces of BiH will be issued individually by the Minister of Defense in accordance with the plan for the withdrawal of the partner country,” the decision said.
As it is added, the Ministry of Defense will submit a report on the termination to the Presidency of BiH after the withdrawal of the last part of the BiH contingent troops from the RSM mission.
To recall, US President Joe Biden recently presented a calendar of withdrawals of about 2,500 U.S. troops from Afghanistan, which should be completed also by September 11 this year, Klix.ba writes.
