MFA of BiH recommends to citizens who are traveling to Turkey caution while traveling, avoiding mass gatherings, respecting the safety recommendations of the Government of Turkey and the recommendation of the tourist resort where they are planning to stay.
Because of the situation in Syria, tourists are not recommended to stay within 10 km from the border with Syria.
Airports and ports are opened, and the popular tourist resorts have not been affected by riots. The same refrain from traveling and staying are recommended to citizens for all South East provinces, i.e. the provinces that are bordering with Iraq and Syria.
“Although the situation in the Republic of Turkey is calming and the authorities of the Republic of Turkey are having security in the country under control, citizens are still advised to be cautious while traveling to the Republic of Turkey. In this regard, the citizens are further suggested to contact their airlines and touristic agencies before their journey, in order to receive current information on their trip and stay at the places of their destination,” as stated in the recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
From the travel agency “Fibula” said that there were about 30 cancellations in the last few days, but given the total number of passengers (550) that are weekly traveling to Turkey through this agency, this number is negligible.
Refund for cancellations is carried out in accordance with the general travel conditions that are listed on the website of the agency, as well as according to the terms of the hotel and transport operators.
From the travel agency “Centrotours” stated that flights to Turkey are planned on the 24th and 31st of July, and that they will not be delayed at least for now.
BiH citizens are not afraid of the security situation in Turkey, and they are planning to spend this year’s holidays there and visit one of the most popular destinations.
