The meeting discussed EU-led missions, including the EU-led mission in the Central African Republic, in which members of the BiH Armed Forces also participate. In addition, the global security situation was discussed, and it was concluded that further strengthening of defense capacities is necessary.
Colonel General Masovic expressed the commitment of the BiH Armed Forces to Euro-Atlantic integration, and hope for the continuation of positive EU cooperation with the BiH Armed Forces, both through education and joint training, and through the participation of BiH Armed Forces members in EU missions around the world.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Colonel General Masovic met with the Chiefs of Staff of several countries, with whom he discussed security challenges facing the world, but also Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, they discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the BiH Armed Forces and the armed forces of allied countries through various types of cooperation.
The Chiefs of Staff expressed their readiness to provide assistance to the BiH Armed Forces, in order to strengthen the capabilities of the BiH Armed Forces, as well as support the defense system on the path to Euro-Atlantic integration.
The meeting of the EU Military Committee was chaired by General Robert Brieger, who took over this duty on 16 February 2022 from General Claudio Graziano, the current Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.
During his stay in Brussels, the Chief of Staff of the AF BiH,Colonel General Senad Masovic, used the opportunity to visit the BiH Mission to NATO, where he was informed about future activities that will be implemented by the end of the year.
As a member of the delegation of the AF BiH in Brussels, Colonel Asmir Sarajlic was also present.
