The seedlings which are planted in greenhouses of the ESOF company will have its first harvest in May, second one will be one week later, and then in the third and fourth. In Fall another planting will take place, then a harvest again and this will continue in the same manner until November.
Everything what will be produced, not only this year, but also in the next 15 years, will be bought by the German company Bio Agrar and will be sent to supermarkets’ shelves all around Germany, England and France, labeled as “organic food”, because the fruit produced in Donji Vakuf is organic.
Ten women, among some of them having a real job for the first time, are patiently planting the tender stalks, 380 000 of them. Edina Habib, an agronomist is checking whether the all values needed for the production of organic vegetables is in accordance with the levels needed.
In 22 highly sophisticated greenhouses, which take up separately 500 square meters, the atmosphere of an absolute organic medium is made.
Their quality was the reference for the biggest BH organic food centre to get the prestigious certificates-Austrian Bio Garantie and international GlobalGap.
